In 2008, when I was eleven years old, my Dad was diagnosed with cancer (pleomorphic sarcoma). Shortly thereafter I started a campaign to raise money through The Cancer Institute of NJ Foundation entitled "Game On: The Time Has Come To Beat Cancer.” I initially raised money by collecting old video games from friends and fellow students. I sold them back to Game Stop for money. I also organized a Haircut-Athlon which involved my high school football teammates and friends. In 2014, I was the recipient of the Young Philanthropist Award presented by the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
Unfortunately, after a courageous battle with cancer my dad passed.
The fine Doctors at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey kept my dad alive for over eight years and I am forever grateful to them.
I am now a student at Rutgers and am committed to reaching my goal of raising $100,000 to assist the Rutgers Cancer Institue of New Jersey in finding a cure for cancer.
Now more than ever, the time has come to beat cancer. This can only be done with your financial support. I respectfully request that you make a donation to my “GAME ON” campaign in memory of my Dad. I thank you for your support.
