When I was eleven years old my Dad was diagnosed with cancer. Shortly thereafter I started a campaign to raise money through The Cancer Institute of NJ Foundation entitled "Game On: The Time Has Come To Beat Cancer". With the support of family, friends and fellow students, my campaign was a success. However, my goal has not yet been met.
Exactly five years after my Dad's diagnosis of a sarcoma on his right thigh he discovered a mass on his left thigh. It turns out it was another sarcoma, similar to the one he had five years ago. Unfortunately, due to the rarity of this cancer and the lack of research, this occurrence was unexplainable.
On July 1, 2013, the Cancer Institute of New Jersey became part of Rutgers University. My parents have been Rutgers Football season ticket holders for over 20 years. Consequently, I have been attending Rutgers football games with my Dad since I was 8 months old. I pray and hope to be able to continue to attend games with him.
Now more than ever, the time has come to BEAT CANCER. We CAN do it with your support. Please make a donation to my "GAME ON" campaign. My family and I thank you for your support.
